The summer of 2009 has been one to remember! So many exciting things have taken place! This is a picture of my girlfriends and I at Jordan's shower. Kenzie and I threw it for her! We had a great turn out! Our family took a nice vacation to California! We stayed right off the beach on 32nd street on New Port Beach! It was one of my favorite trips ever! I was trying to figure out what was so different about this one for me...and I've come to the conclusion that as you get older....sometimes the meaning of vacation changes...And for me this trip was so relaxing! Where as usually I'm looking to play play play! We did do a whole lot of fun things but I sure appreciated the travel time and quiet times as well.

New Port beach was so gorgeous! This was taken from the pier at sun-down.

Taylor and I enjoyed people watching! The lifestyle is so different. I went running 3 or 4 times along the ocean side. There are a ton of people that are out and active....running, biking, surfing! After doing the beach one evening our family took a long walk to find some dinner. We ended up at this little shop just off the beach! I had the yummiest veggie-burger ever! This is also where I saw the most attractive surfer dude! :)

My favorite part of the whole trip was the last day when we rented beach cruisers and road along the sand and around town! It was super crowded and we all had to weave in and out of the people! But the bike ride was definitely the best part for me. PS>..Tay took this picture, my fav from the trip!

We did Disneyland and California Adventure for 2 days! I wasn't too thrilled when I heard that was the plan. But I was wrong! It was such a great time. Fun with the little kids as well!

My favorite was the parades. I love the music and lights! They do such an incredible job! And to think that they do it all every night!!!

Over all it was such a great trip! We missed Barrett and Jeanine but look forward to doing it again with them!

SINCE BEING HOME:

Dad, Barrett, Taylor, Kyle Hansen, Michael and I went out to Deer Creek to go boating! It was such a nice night! I don't ever remember the canyon being so green and this time of year...it was truly breath taking!

I can tell that my body is in better shape this year! I'm able to ski longer than ever before!

I AM ALSO STILL TEACHING COSMETOLOGY AT MATC...We had a BBQ with all of the instructors and girls. I really enjoy the ladies that I work with and feel lucky to be doing something that I enjoy so much!

This last week I taught about Make-up and Smokey eyes Technique! I love teaching because I learn so much as well!

I AM ALSO SINGING IN JENNY PHILLIPS CHOIR...I auditioned right after the pageant and made it into her choir. I participate in firesides with her and the group monthly. It is such a great way to share the spirit through music. I hope that it opens up new opportunities for me as well! Remember the Journey is the theme of this years youth fireside. I LOVE ALL OF THE MUSIC!

Last night we went up to grandma and grandpa Johnson's home to see family! For the program, Grandma shared a little bit of her memory about her grandmothers and then read a poem that grandpa wrote about his mothers apron. In the poems were shared memories of her pockets filled with pen, paper, string, goodies, and whatever that was needed. He mentioned that her apron had wiped tears with love and been a symbol of her service. Afterward Grandma presented each one of her granddaughters and laws with a home sewn apron with our names on it. I couldn't help but be overwhelmed at her kindness and thoughtfulness. She is incredible!

It was so fun to see my favorite cousin Michelle and her family. They are so stinkin cute. I cant get enough of their little smiles and personalitlies! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Justin's Birthday!

Juice...how did that name come about?? I'm not sure...it is just him! I have always loved Justin. As I have gotten to know him more over the last few years, I realize what a great addition he is to our family. A quiet example of kindness. Besides that, he has also become such a great joker. We LOVE to hear Justin laugh and tease...what a strong couple he and Heidi are together. Happy Birthday Juice! Hope ya know how much I love you!

I haven't had a chance to write about Barrett and Jeanine both!...Both of there birthdays were a couple months back. I have to say, I feel so grateful for my relationship with them both individually. I think the world of...

Jeanine and her many talents and her wonderful understanding of life. She is always willing to lend a listening ear and always gives great advice. I am so thankful for our friendship and feel like we are becoming better and better friends all the time.

Barrett...what a heart of gold. Ever since I was a young child I've always been drawn to my older brother. He is my greatest support in developing and sharing my talents. He is so wonderful to me. I think I like most about Barrett is he is his smiles, hugs and giggles...we always have a good time!

I love you both and hope you know how much I appreciate your goodness! Happy Happy Belated Birthday to you both! I love you!

Miss Orem 2009-2010 crowned on Saturday

Chelsey Ingersoll, a graduating senior from Mountain View High School, was crowned Miss Orem 2009-2010 at the annual scholarship pageant on Saturday night at the SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem. As the new Miss Orem, Ingersoll receives $2,750 in scholarship money. She plans to attend Brigham Young University this fall, and to pursue a career as a pediatric cardiologist.
First runner-up in the competition was Alexis Hatch, a sophomore at BYU majoring in music therapy, who was awarded a $1,120 scholarship. Also named as attendants and scholarship recipients were Emily Jacobsen, Graceann Jacobson and Whitney Bunker.
In the talent competition, Ingersoll performed a sizzling tango/cha-cha dance number.
In response to an on-stage question about what has been her proudest accomplishment, Ingersoll responded, "Tonight, it was walking on stage in a swimsuit." She then added, "Waking up each day with a smile" regardless of circumstances.
Ingersoll also won one of several extra scholarships given -- the $200 TIFIE (Teaching Individuals and Families Independence through Enterprise) Award. The recognition was presented by local businessman Robert Workman, who established TIFIE as a nonprofit humanitarian organization in 2007.
A $500 community service award, given by Orem's mayor and City Council, went to Chelsea Dean. The $100 contestants' award -- voted on by the pageant participants -- was awarded to Haley Johnson. Ashleigh Dickerson received the $100 award from the pageant committee for her participation and attendance at pre-pageant workshops, and Alyson Sabin was given the $100 director's award for "most growth through the pageant experience."

We'll start with this one! My Little brother is seriously all grown up. It is kind of sad...but so great! I have had such a great time being at home with him this past year. I look up to him so much. He is such a good man. I could go on and on...but I'll mention a few of my favorite things about him. I love that he always wants me to "LOOK" or "Come See THiS!" He is fasinated and so smart. I remember teasing him really early on about always making us watch this or that. It makes me giggle inside. He has really worked hard at the piano....and I love to hear him play. He had a great ear and knows how to make his songs sound just right. Recently I had a fun time helping him ask his date Kylie Pittard to his Sr. Prom. We put manikin heads on her porch with a sign that said...."AS you can see, i'd Kill to go to prom with you...haha" Kinda creepy but super funny. He and i ran it to the porch and ended up leaving our camera on the porch were we could record her reaction. We laughed hard about it once we waited long enough to get go grab the camera back :) Fun times... Here is he and I right before he ran out the door for his last High School dance! He looked so handsome! Love you Tay!

My little nephew turned ONE!!! HE is sooo stinkin adorable. I can't keep my hands off him..I always want to hold him. He is such a happy baby, and a sweetheart. He is starting to get really busy and curious. We celebrated his birthday over and Stephs house. We were all there! We watched him dig into the awesome cake that steph made for him. It was a big green worm that said Happy Birthday Christian Bug :) SOOO CUTE! What a darling little boy he is! Mekelle's getting married!! I'm thrilled for her and Kyle. They are adorable together. This is the apron the Grandma Johnson made for her! It was also wonderful to see my Aunt Memselle!

This is a part of the gift that we gave to Mekelle for her Big day :) We did a three gift deal...It went something like this:

2nd bag labled: what HE wants you to wear...(a couple different nighties and things :))

Another Wedding! This is Alicia Williams from my singles ward, I got to do her curls for her wedding! It turned out beautiful! CONGRATS!

I treasure the times when family gets together. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being an aunt and so much enjoy the company of these little ones that bless my life. I feel so grateful to have a forever family and be sealed to those I love most.

I've been able to enjoy the temple as often as I can. Last time was there the man performing the baptisms was blind. It was neat to see him able to perform these important ordinances and with those being baptised reading him each name, he would repeat it and finish the ordinance. It brought a special spirit that to the temple and everyone who witnessed it that day.

This picture is of me, Christy Breyer, and Amanda Christiansen from my singles ward. Christy is widowed and has a little one at home. I was her visiting teacher for a while. I love her. This was the first time after a long road that she had ever gotten to be in the temple. I had a nice time being with her for that experience and reflecting on why we do certain things as i would explain to her.

I also got to go last week with Taylor and Dad to do some family names. I especially love to go to the temple with my family. My love for them grows as I get to experience such a heavenly atmosphere right there with those who mean the most to me.

They all did such a cute little job. We made their tu-tu's and did the performance in Stephanies church relief society room. It worked out perfect! Thanks to all the girls and their partents!

Taylor, Mom and I and Pam were able to join Grandma and Grandpa for Monday family home evening dinner. It was such a great time spent with them. After dinner, we played domino's and grandpa had Taylor and I laughing so hard. We love you both so much!! Sidenote: I love being in their lovely home. It is always so clean and orderly. MY grandma is such a great decorater and has done some fun fun things with ther kitchen and living room. I admire her and her humble heart and happy spirit. And my grandpa is a machine...he does soo much! So active and generous!

Last but not least....I have been preparing for the Miss Orem Pageant for Months...it is coming up next Saturday the 16th. I am getting really excited and nervous! I'll let you all know how it goes! Thank you to all of those who have been such a wonderful support though all of this!

APRIL 22nd...A Day to CELEBRATE!! This is one of the greatest reasons why I love my sister! Look at that face. Look at that sass, she has the greatest personality! It is so fun to hear her giggle, and burst out into her loud, contagious laughter!! Besides her happy spirit Heidi is my best friend. My sisters all are. I feel so blessed to know that no matter what, Heidi will be there to support me and give me a listening hear and always wise, comforting advice. Her testimony is obvious to anyone who talks to her. She lives what she believe and her countenance shines because of it.

Going throught the Draper Temple open house was a very special experience for me. I could feel the spirit so strongly through out the whole tour. It made me even more excited to be able to go through it one day with my future husband and make sacred covenants. I love the temple and also enjoyed the dedication. I feel so blessed to have so many temples near by!

We celebrated Mom's birthday as well. We all got together over at Jake and Stephanies home to have dinner and open gifts. My mom is so special to me and she deserves all the greatest of lifes blessings! To anyone who knows my mother, we all know what a pure and giving heart she has!Love you Mommy!Another Birthday was my friend Jordan Miller, we went to hair school together! I was so lucky to have made some great friends in cosmetology school. I teach them now...it is a little strange! haha :)

One of my BEST friends Siri Stone is getting married! This is Diana, Siri and I at her bridal shower! Im so excited for her. We will be friends forever. Love you Siri!

So...it was a Par-Tay! After Gregs farewell all my family came back to our house for dinner, dessert and play time. :) It was such a great time! I am so glad everyone was able to make it. I seriously have the greatest family ever! Dad got me an itunes gift card and a mat to stand on in the salon to so I dont hurt my back from standing. Heidi and Steph got me a little necklace, some body spray and these darling pj bottoms. Barrett and Jeanine picked out a scarf for me and a singing card! lol Taylor wrote me the sweetest card and got me a pair of headphones for the gym! Im Loving all of my gifts! Thanks sooo much family. Love you forever and ever..and ever :) ....and ever!

On sunday we were able to attended my cousin Greg's farewell. He is off to Colorado Springs. He did such a great job on his talk. I was very impressed. Besides that greg is a hottie :) He loves to work out and is a bit of a cowboy as well. I think the world of him and so do all of his nieces and nephews....he is wonderful with children, and I'm sure...the favorite uncle! We will miss him...but pray for his safety and success!

Then I was able to go see Grandpa Johnson in the hospital. He has had his up and downs since his stroke. It has been an emotional time for us all. How grateful we are to have the gospel and to know that this is not the end. I sang 'How Great Thou Art' to him. He nodded his approval. :) I looked at him during the last verse..."when Christ shall come, with shout of acclimation, and take me home what joy shall fill my heart." I saw the understanding and life in his eyes. I love my grandpa!

Birthday Weekend Posts

My birthday weekend was so fuN! It started with Taylors fabulous Disney choir concert! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! It was the most entertaining choir concert that I've ever attended! Very impressive, from the performers and soloists Alex Boye, to the costums and make up, all done by Paul Mitchells School. Mom, dad and I went. Daddy wasnt feeling well...and ended up rushing to the bathroom to throw up :( NOt fuN! But mom and I quite enjoyed ourselves! Way to go Tay Ray, you never cease to amaze me.

St.George!!!

Wow, where do I start??!! I had the most exciting opportunity to go spend 2 weeks at The Fitness Ridge in St. George. My cousin Michelle and her husband Cameron opened the spa. It has come a long way! What they have created is incredible. They call it a "compassionate bootcamp!" :) It truely was! Our schedule everyday looked like this:
6:00 am- Open gym (They had some great machines to work on....I would either walk for a while or work on my arms...a couple of mornings i snuck in the wood room and danced :) )
7:00 am-Breakfast (They didnt serve any dairy products, and we were on a 1200 calorie per day diet.)
8:00 am- Early Morning Hike (We would split up into groups...either 101, Stop Sign, Intermediate, or Advanced. Michelle challenged me to do the advanced....the first couple of days i wanted to die...but they eventually became bareable. I really enjoyed the hiking after the first mile or so...Snow Canyon is beautiful! I found it very rewarding looking back and down and seeing what i climbed!)
11:00 am-Back at the Ridge I would grab a piece of fruit always feeling anxious for lunch.
11:30 am-Yogaloties or Aqua class
12:45 pm- LUNCH!! WAHOO!!
1:30 pm- Either a food demonstration, Nutrition lecture or open gym
2:30 pm- Class...(Core Training, Treading, Circut Training)
3:30 pm- Class...(Kick-boxing, Hip-hop on friday :) )
4:30 pm- Gentle Stretch...(Never felt gentle, but was great!)
5:30 pm- DINNER!!!! yay! I was always ready!
6:00 pm- Lecture

**After the day was over I either hopped in the hot tub to sit...haha or headed back to Cam and Michelles house. I enjoyed so much being with them and their family. After a long hard day, being the only LDS member at the camp that week, coming home to a home full of the Spirit was a huge blessing. Cam and michelle have a unique ability to spread happiness. Often I would walk in and hear laughter. Their kids are kind and very capable. I grew to love their family even more!! Thank you so much for your generosity and wonderful examples Michelle and family! I miss you!

I also had the opportunity to share the gosple with a few of the people at the camp. What a neat and growing experience that was for me. My testimony was strengthened and I am more grateful for the gospel than ever before!

Girls Week!

I finished off 2008 with one of th funnest weeks of my life!!! :) With a few of my girlfriends from hairschool, we went up to Alexa's parents home in Eden, for a little get away. After the drive up, we headed to Dinner. We were in Ogden on the older blvd. And went to one of Alexa's favorite places. I cant remember the name of the cute little place to save my life!! But all that matters was the fun company and the yummy food! OH my gosh, ive never laughed so hard in my life! It was hard!! So hard...infact, i was NOT good at it. But it didnt matter...it was a blast!JordanMadi, Connie, Me and Kenz

Afterward we headed up to Alexa's home and got in the hot tub for a bit, played games, and watched Notting Hill. I love Julia Roberts! :) We woke up in morning to this...Everything was sooo pretty!! We made crepes for breakfast and got in our winter gear!

We played in the snow for a while and then Alexas brother and friend hooked up a car hood as a sled to the snowmobils and took us on rides!!!This is us! Getting ready to HOLD ON TIGHT!Eric and Preston We has such a great week together! Much needed for all of US!

New Years I headed up to another Cabin with Abbey and her cousin. We made this awesome Louge, there was sooo much snow!!

Christmas Eve and Day!

Our home is always so cozy but especially around Christmas...I love our real fire place and all the lights and decorations...it sets the mood for a nice warm christmas!

Christmas morning I woke up fairly early. Santa had told us to not come up until nine! So i woke up tay and we read and played some ping-pong. After we went upstairs, he and I made breakfast and then we all ate together. We opened gifts somewhere around 10:30 a.m. Some of my gifts included....My running shoes, work out clothes, Some nice jewelry, perfume, and a couple shirts. Oh and of course we had aunt pam over for gifts. Its tradition. After we were done opening gifts we headed up to Steph and Jakes house to meet with the whole family. Taylor and I showed up like this......
We dressed up like WHOOOO's and sang "Where are you Christmas" hehe so fun!

This season has been wonderful! This is the gift exchange we did with all my girlfriends from hairschool! We drew names and then met up for dinner at Paradise Cafe! mmm YUM~

Christmas is Coming!!!

As the season continues, I have had many thoughts and felt much gratitude for the experiences and people who bless my life....

Reflecting about our Savior and his birth, life, and infinate atonement, I feel so blessed to have the knowledge that I do. The spirit has testified strongly to me this holiday season of the holiness of this celebration. And I have enjoyed the activities that are preparing my heart to be ready for Christmas....

The music that played around the holidays is one of my favorite things! With my calling as the ward choir director, I have felt such a power from the music we have learned and sung so far and look forward to our Christmas Program this sunday. We had the Stake Choir concert this past sunday. My niece Hallie sang a solo and then my choir continued the rest of the song. She sang it flawlessly! I am such a proud aunt! We did two songs from the Children's Song Book. Stars Were Gleaming and Once Within a Lowly Stable. My calling blesses me and I love my choir, they did a beautiful job. I love that they sing from their hearts.

This year it will just be Taylor and I for Christmas Eve and morning, and then later will be joining the rest of our married syblings and their families. It is amazing how life and situations like these make you appreciate eachother and grow individually. I have loved living at home with Taylor Ray. He is constantly makin me giggle if he is not tickling me or hiding behind a dark corner ready to jump out and scare me!! I think the world of my little brother and so proud of him and his many accomplishments thus far... it is truely astounding, his talents and capablities. I am most proud of his determination to be a worthy priesthood holder and besides being worthy. He is active. Always looking for someone to serve, pray for, or visit. I love to listen to his heartfelt prayers and hear his insights about the gospel. He is very smart. It will be fun to be with him this year. Love ya Tay!Little Savvy had her 3rd birthday! I learn so much from being around children. They teach me patience. I love that they ask so many questions, live simply, but imagine greatly! What a joy it is for me to be Aunt Haley! OHhhh, I love it! Happy Birthday Bobby. :)

I had the chance to go up to the Conference Center with some friends and hear the Tabernacle Christmas Choir. I love visiting this building. It is an incredible sight watching each row fill up with people. The Prophet and Elder Uchtdorf were both there! And after the program got to hear a few words from them. The concert was angelic! I could have sat there all day!

Wow time sure flies!! I'm always so excited for this time of year, so Im not complaining...it just seemed to come super fast this year! We were going to go to a church for Thanksgiving this year, and let me tell ya....none of us were too thrilled about the idea! I think it is pretty neat that our family has grown so big that that is an option. But, with only 30 of us getting together when momma Sheri decided to offer our home for the gathering, we all got excited! A lot of work, but sooo worth it! Look at how beautiful everything turned out! Thanks to everyone who helped! Dad and Tay on the yard, Sue for bringing the table cloths and center pieces, and mom for her endless vaccuuming! OH and EVERYONE FOR ThE DELICIOUS FOOD! It turned out to be such a nice day!

Okay so that is all the pictures that I took on Thanksgiving Day, but my goodness, the weekend had just started!! That evening I did gel/glitter toes on Heidi and Mom and Uncle Bob came over and we all hung out and watched a movie. Then the next day I spent with Steph and her kids....We played, did more manicures and pedicures and put some foils in Steph's hair. And that evening we went to Barrett and Jeanine's house to watch the Jazz play. It was a great game! We beat the Sacramento Kings and laughed really really hard at some awesome Boone commentary. :) We then headed over to Red Mango for a treat! I havent laughed so hard in long time! We were all on a sugar high or somethin....there was dancing, and weird talents revealed haha! Here are some pictures....I think the few people around must have thought we were nuts. We decided that we are going to have a family valentines dance this year..I cant wait!

We ended up having a sleep-over party :) Then miss Lindsay had to leave me....I was so fun t spend some time with her. My year at BYU-IDAHO are some of my greatest memories!Then last night I had another great night! Jason and one of his mission buddies and I went to wingers and then met up with a bunch of friends and played around for a bit...then watched Vantage Point. I fell asleep after the third repeat...not a fan of that movie. haha!
OHHH....ANNDD I have done alot of this, this weekend. :) Just relaxing, chattin and lounging in whatever a darn well please :) It was a wonderful Thanksgiving 2008 :) I have enjoyed the nice fall weather...although...I am dreaming of a white Christmas...where is the snow???!!

Two Great Evenings!

What a great couple of weekends! I have been so lucky to get to do some of my favorite things ever!!!! This night started out with Red Mango...mmmm! And a night at comedy sportz witht the familY! I cant think of anything much better than that!!! I love that place! Probably their biggest fan!! (after Heidi :) ....this is jason and I and our yummy treats!

SOOOO...we went to take a picture with the star of the show. He looked back at me and in a deep serious voice said..."Tag Me"...(he was refering to facebook, if anyone is familiar with it, you can tag (send) pictures to eachother)....and I started giggling...then ...to keep me laughing...he said. "Or Poke Me" (which is another facebook gesture)...and Heidi, being unfamiliar with the Facebook Language...took it literal and Poked him in the belly. (PICTURED BELOW) We all about died when she made the connection... She was on the ground laughing!!!!!! SoOOO FUN!

Another great night started out with a delicious dinner at the energy solutions arena where we would prepare (hehe) to watch the JAZZ GAME! The is Jon and I and his little brother and his girlfriend. Besides the yummy food and great company...We had FANTASTIC seats!!! Check it out...Announcing the game starters........ Tip off!! Went to us...And so did the Game!! WOOOO...we beat the bucks! What a wonderful way to end the evening!

I attended two Bridal Showers this week! Gina and I went to elementary school together! We were best buds our sixth grade year!! We were seperated for Jr. High and then both attended MV highschool and were in Accapella choir together and cheered on the varsity squad our sr year! Gina is wonderful! Im so excited for her.... her shower was absolutely beautiful, gorgeous tables and an incredible dinner!

Olivia is getting married TOO!! haha what a fun time at her shower!! Olivia and I were in choir together as well and we also played on the MV softball team together! She is marrying an awesome guy from our high school! They are so cute! CONGRATSStuffed with Mallo's from answering incorrectly! haha thanks for the laughs!! :)

It started out with hearing from our prophet and apostles and other church leaders at General Conference, which was wonderfuL!...I loved each session! A couple of the talks that specifically touched me was Pres. Uchtforf's talk on Hope, Elder Worthlin's, and Elder Holland's talk about angels. It is such a blessing to have a living prophet on the earth today! And I look forward conference every six months!
This month we also got to celebrate my brother-in-law Jake's birthday! We all went out to Texas Roadhouse, it was crazy busy, and a fun and loud envoirnment! I love Jake! He is such a stud! He is such a good husband to Steph and dad to Hallie, Savvy and Christian! I love being around Jake, Im so glad he is in our family! Hope you had a great birthday!!

So being graduated has its pro's and con's! I love being in the salon! But it also means I don't get to see my favorite girlfriends from schooL! I Miss seeing them everyday. So after a week haha...I planned a dinner night! we went to the pizza factory! I was so glad that it worked out for most of us! Yay, i got to catch up with the ladies, such a great time!

A couple weeks ago, Me and my buddies Baden and Jason went on an intense scooter ride down by the lake. It was one of the first colder days this month...and it was seriously freezing! But awesome! I dont ride our little scooter that often, cause i get off and im all smelly. :) I need to go more!I got to have a fun night out with one of my besties Chelsea :) We got to chat and go out to comedy sportz one night this month. I love that place! It was so fun being with her. She is always so full of smiles and always makin me giggle. Im so grateful for her friendship! When she showed up to my house...we were wearing almost identicle outfits!!!! This is Me, Amanda, Melissa and Stacie getting all ready for the masquarade ball! When I heard about it I got so excited! Any excuse to put on a pretty dress and get all fancied up...I'll TAKE!! We went stag and met up with a huge group of friends most of them from our ward. We ate dinner in Tucci's....mmmmm, so yummy and then headed to the dance! I had such a great time!! I love to dance! My legs are still sore! I couldin't stop! :) The masks were a fun change too! Craig and I went with one of his mission buddies and a date up to the Moonlight Lift at Sundance! It was another cold night! But so gorgeous! I wish I would have done it a few times earlier in the season!
Hot Tubbin at Kev's house! This was the first year I have really ever appreciated hot tubbin, i was never a big fan....but I have done it alot this year!!! It is so relaxing, especially after being on your feet all day! I want to have one someday!

Last night .... last minute Abbey called me and we went to dinner! I hadn't seen her in months! We went out and ran into Brit and her roomates! So we stole her for a bit and chatted. Good food, good company....one of my favorite things to do!

I am finally graduated from hair school! Im so excited! I have learned so much and can't wait to get started! My graduations ceremony was on Wednesday! Here are some pictures... Mom and Stephy and Christian and Hallie were able to make it. Daddy was out of town BUT....
I have the best family ever and they planned a lunch together on Friday! We went to the Pizza Factory. It was a great time! We missed Jeanine bean. Thanks everyone for your love and support!!! It means soo much to me! One free hair cut for all of you ;)

Decisions...

I have had alot of things on my mind lately and I am very grateful for the Lord helping me through a few rough days. As I am considering what salon I would like to work at, what other job I should work, what school I should attend, if i should serve a mission, and who I can reach out to around me....

I ran across D&C 58:27...veriily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause; and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness; For the power is in there wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward.

What a blessing the scriptures can be. Im very grateful for them and thankful for the Love of the Lord in blessing me with peace through this scripture.

The Events of AUGUST!

So much happened in the last couple weeks of August, Im not sure where to start!! Lets start with the most important events!...

MOM AND DADS'S 30TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

What a special occasion to celebrate! We were able to go to dinner as a family up in Midway..and that is where all of the fun began. Heidi had taken charge and planned an incredible evening for my parents. We started at dinner each presenting our parents with a gift and explaining our feelings and expressing our gratitude for them and their lives together thus far. We then presented them with a book, a special one that Heidi spent hours and hours putting together. With everyone's help, we gathered pictures, journal entries, and wrote heartfelt letters that were included. It turned out beautiful and is now a treasured possession. We then made out parents close their eyes as we drove them to Jake and Steph's condo in Midway where so many friends and family were gathered to suprise them!!! What a fun thing to witness this suprise! There were friends from their college years, and even family who had traveled hundreds of miles to join in the celebration. The night turned out wonderful. There was music, decorations, munchies and more memories created. Thanks to everyone for all they did to make it happen! And thanks to Mom and Dad for giving us something so special to celebrate. We love you!

STEPH'S BIRTHDAY

We were able to get together for lunch at the Olive Garden to celebrate Stephy's birthday. She is such an amazing woman, and I love spending time with her, Heidi and Mom. It's starting to get harder to get together for birthdays...with her little famliy growing, with husbands, and crazy schedules!!! But it is always such a joy when it works out! I love you Stephy! More than you know! And I hope you enjoyed your birthday as much as I did!

MICHAEL'S FAREWELL...

It was so fun to have Ed and Monica and family over for a BBQ and an evening together before Micheal reported to the MTC. I love my handsome cousins! Sheesh, aren't I so luckY! It was great to hear his testimony and hang out with him for a bit before he took off. Michael is going to be an awesome missionary! Thanks to everyone who came over, it was a fun time!

BRITTANY'S BIRTHDAY ...

One of my best high school girlfriends had her little birthday get-together! There were so many of my awesome guy friends from high school! Most of which are all returned from their missions. Watching so many friends go out and serve and then return is a neat experience and a strength to my testimony of the true gospel and the importance of missionary work!

Brittany, Abbey and I were able to go out to dinner later in the week and catch up! Im so grateful for the friendships that i have had with both of these amazing, talented ladies! Thanks for having a birthday and giving us girls an excuse to finally get together!! :)

A Fabulous Weekend

Friday night I went up to Draper to my friend Siri's house. We all gathered there together to watch her open her MISSION CALL! We all made our guesses.... and when she opened her call...

She was called to serve in the FRANFORD GERMANY mission! She couldn't stop smiling. Siri is going to be an incredible missionary! She has taken a couple years of German and is thrilled about her call! I'm am going to miss my best friend. But cant wait for her to share the gospel! Saturday night...kind of a long story. So Bradley and I broke up a week from today (last monday)...we had plans that next Saturday to go to the show at the Hale in Salt Lake. I was so excited to see the show and had told him that he better take me :) Because of the break-up, that wouldn't be the plan. I recieved a phone call from him. He told me that he knew that I wanted to see the show and said he wanted to give me both of the tickets so that I could take someone else. I told him to keep the tickets. The next day my friend Craig asked me out for that Saturday. I said yes and he told me that he wasnt going to tell me where we were going. When we got off the exit for the Hale Theater, i started to panic inside! AW, if he took me to that theater....oh my gosh. He asked me if i knew yet, where we were headed...I guessed the Hale and he said YES! Oh my gosh, i bout died. I got sick to my tummy. And told Craig that Bradley was going to be there! He immediately said "Nope." He proceeded to tell me that Bradley and emailed him and asked Craig to take me becausee he knew how bad I had wanted to go. And he also knew that Craig and I are close close buds and that he wanted me to be able to go. I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. I didnt know what to say. So, iI teared up instead. Aw, we went to the show. And I LOVED IT!! Thanks so much to Bradley for being so thoughful and Craig for being such an awesome friend and taking me up there and to dinner as well! Love you both!
Seriously this show was soo good! It is called 'BIG' I would suggest it to everyone who is looking for a fun evening! I quick funny story...so my teeth started hurting during the second act and I knew that i needed to take a pain killer or i wouldnt be able to enjoy the rest of the show. We didnt have any water and I couldnt just leave...I was wondering what i could do. Craig pointed out that the older couple next to us had some water. He dared me to sneek it. :) I waited till the lights went down and quickly took a sip. LOL it was intense. Craig teased me the rest of the night, that his dentures were in that water! EW!! haha we laughed about it the whole night!

Hair Hair Hair!

A new girl at school came to me with a pic and asked me to cut her hair...Of course I said yes, i love cutting! THe picture was pretty intense! it would be my funkiest yet! But I took on the challenge. Here's how it turned out...

Wisdom Teeth DRAMA

So last Thursday was the day! I was scheduled to finally get my wisdom teeth out. Here I am

almost 21....I should have gotten them out 3 or 4 years ago. BUT, we finally made the appointment. The surgery went well. The Oral surgean did told me to expend a few days recovery. So the first couple days go by, not too bad. I was feelin some pain, but the worst was no food. I had a few visitors...Bradley came everyday for the first 4 days. HE brought me these darling flowers, crystal light and some soup. Another time he brought a movie and a Jamba....he spoiled me. :) My friend Craig brought me a jamba as well. So days and days went by, and I was still feelin sooo yucky! i think it was day 6 my friends Siri came over and brought me icecream, and read the first couple of chapters of "Breaking Dawn" to me. THANKS SO MUCH TO MY GREAT FRIENDS! So finally 8 days had passed and my whole lower mouth was still throbbing all day. I decided to call my dentist. He told me to come right in. I told him my story and he took pictures of my teeth and ended up right there filling a cavity and starting a root canal!!! He said that my surgery had triggored the pain!!! NO WONDER I WAS DYING! He couldnt believe that I was okay with him numbing my whole lower jaw...but i wanted it over with! So I came home drueling..haha but im finally after 2 weeks getting back to normal. Still taking pain killers daily, but am finally on my way back to recovory!! YAY!!

LAST WEEKEND!

My Friend Siri Stone and I were asked to sing at her uncles funeral in Idaho. We did the song from Wicked called "For Good" We went up thrurday and slept over at her Grandmothers house in Idaho Falls. The Funeral was held on Friday morning. It was a beautiful service. My deepest sympathy to their whole family at this hard time. How lucky we are to have supportive families and wards, and of course to know about life after death. We are so blessed!

The Stone's have a cabin up in Palasades, after the funeral we headed up to their family gathering and reunion up there. It was so fuN! We stayed in their little cabin. ANd boated all the next day!

The Whole Month of JULY in ONE Post!!

What a fabulous month this has been!! So wonderful and still so much to look forward too. Here are a few of the highlights!

LAKE POWELL:

What a great trip! Perfect weather, great water, amazing family and lasting memories!

4th of JULY:

Spent with family and a visit from my best friend! What an incredible holiday! Im so grateful to live it this free country! Yay for the Promised Land!

FRIENDS:

Had some time to do some catchin up wit friends...Of course it is always while im cutting their hair now! :) Im just grateful for the time to chat!

Spencer and I! We werent too fond of eachother the first night we met and then...I dont know what happened....I think he decided to sweeten up :) We went to Cafe Rio and got some dinner and then back to my house for his haircut. It was a nice evening!

Below is one of my best friends Siri. Siri is incredible! We sang together in a group called ECHO and then had the chance to go to school together up at BYU-IDAHO. We were able to do even more performing together up there and make some wonderful memories together. We are going to sing at her uncles funeral this weekend in Idaho. Im love singing with Siri, she is incredible and she means so much to me! OH and we got together and I made her a Blondie :)

AMERICAN IDOL CONCERT:

Oh man, seeing David in concert!!!! I fell in love! (Not that I wasn't already!) CRAIG and I went to dinner and to the show up at the East Center. I had Such a great time!!!!!!! Great company, great music!! Thanks Craigory

HAIR SCHOOL:

3 months left!! Still pluggin along. I have made some awesome friends!! THis is Connie and I on break...Please no more theory!! ...how bout a client :) Jessica, Haley and Con-Bon

SUNDAY AFTERNOONS:

Bradley has joined our family for a few sunday dinners this month. I have such a fun time being with him. Things are going well! Isn't he oh so handsome :)

The next week...

Bradley comes up to my school every once in a while to take me away for lunch! :) This was today, thanks for the yummy sandwich Bum :)

We had the opportunity to do our first payed show together....we sang for a party in this beautiful yard/ranch in Farmington. It was so gorgeous! We each sang a couple songs and then we did 3 songs together. We have had such a great time learning and performing together. It has been interesting getting to know eachother better in that atmosphere. We each handle our stress and nervousness differently but when we sing together, things are so comfortable. I look forward to sharing our passion for music and making more memories together! FAMILY NIGHT:

We had family night at Grandpa Greaves home and then we went over to the Lindon Playhouse to see a play called "Never Kiss On a Park Bench"... we all laughed so hard. Here is a picture of Taylor and I with the cast!

PARADE:

My school was part of the American Fork parade on Saturday. A few of us walked in the parade and passed out flyers and combs for advertisement. I have so much fun with these girlies! After the parade we all headed to Wingers for lunch. It was the best Saturday that I have had a school!

Im going to miss My good friend Alexa, she graduated this past week! I have loved being around her. I have learned so much from watching her. She is incredibly talented and i have been blessed to be around her.

TEST:

Last but NOT LEAST, I take my practical test for my hair licence on Thursday! Im so nervous! I really just want to pass and get it over with. I know i will feel so much better when it is over! Bradley is out of town this week and wont be around when i take it. I came home to some pretty flowers, a treat and a sweet note, wishing me good luck. He is so thoughtful! Thanks Baby!!

A Little Catchin Up!

Wow, it seems that I have been so extrememly blessed lately! I cant help but share a few things that have happened in the last while!

Family Relationships:

Heidi and I have had some time to play together! I love being with Heidi. Im so grateful for her great example and she sure knows how to have fuN!
Words can't describe the joy that my little nieces bring into my life. Hallie and Savannah are special spirits. And they are a constant reminder to me of what is most important!
Barrett has a heart of gold and I love being around him. Im so excited for him and Jeanine to have a baby! He will be an awesome daddy!
Stephanie is a constant example of raising a righteous family. She has been able to come in a couple times to get gel toes and to catch up! She looks so good after just having a babY!

Singing Opportunities:

I got asked to sing the national anthem at Strawberry Days Rodeo in Pleasent Grove! I was sooo nervous. There was maybe between 8-10,000 people there! What a neat opportunity. And the love and support that I got from family and friends was geat!
Since I met Bradley, we have been able to do some singing together! Here we are singing for his wards BBQ. Right after this, we went to my best friend Abbey's house and sang a song at the backyard concert that was going on. Also...the very next day I sang a funeral. I love shaing my love for music and being able to sing the songs that I love most!

Hair School:

NOpe, im still not done yet, but the Lord has truely been with me every step of the way through hair school. I have been blessed to associate with wonderful girls at my new school and great instuctors. I have met a few life-long friends. I have also been given the chance to be an example and share my feelings and thoughts about the gospel with some of the girls. I was recently nominated and voted to be president of the hair school council. haha kinda cheesy, but I found it to be a compliment and another opportunity to try to make a difference.

Friends:

Recently all of my guy friends from high school have returned from their missions and being able to attend their homecoming talks and here about there missions, have strengthened me. The Lord truely has blessed me with special people in my life! The top picture is one of my and my buddy Baden and the picture below is of Madi, Ashley and I. MY friends keep getting married. They are crazy...haha ;)

Relationship:

Bradley and I have been dating for about 5 months. Currently we are not exclussive, but he is sure a blessing in my life. A man of great strength and desire to live a righteous life. I am so grateful for his example and the times that we have been able to share together already!

I love this picture. I love Utah Valley. It is so beautiful and full of special people. People of a chosen generation. What a great responsibilty we have to share our testimonies of the gospel. I know that we have a Savior who knows us individually, and it astounds me the unconditional love that he offers to all of his children! Thank you to all my you who have been a part of my life thus far, I have truely been blessed. I love you all!

I am soooo Behind! Why cant life just stop for two seconds so I can have time to blog about it all!! :) Wow, this past week has been so fun! On Saturday dad suprised Taylor and I with tickets to fly to California on Sunday night and go to Six Flags on Monday! Just the two of us! We were pretty stoked!...and shocked to be honest! Here is a little about our quick trip!

This is sunday a few hours before our flight left. Tay needed a hair cut and we decided to bleach the tips for fun! He has never done it! It turned out pretty good, a little too brassy of a color, but it has already lightened up from the sun! :) Anyways...it ididnt reallly hit us that we were really going until we were at the airport just because it was such a suprise! It was a little weird packing for one day. We both just packed a carry on...
Here is us, being excited to fly. Taylor has only been on a plane a few times ever and he loves planes, in fact...he has always thought about being a pilot! I guess we'll see!
Us, on the plane! ... It was a pretty quick flight...only about an hour and a half! They served us crackers and Sprite..we were excited about that! :)
Okay, so super long story about the airport... but, in a nut shell...we waited for just about 3 hours for our ride! We had some really good family friends who were coming and ended up at the wrong airport! So we just chilled and listened to music...and enjoyed not being in Utah!
We got pretty bored and we both got a little hyper... :) Tay had no clue that I attacked him with tags...funny story! I was laughing uncontrolably about it all weekend...

The flight home was absolutely gorgeous! Sooooo....it was a quick trip, but so fun! I had a great time with Taylor. We both needed that! Thanks so much Daddy!...we love you!

After mom picked Tay and I up from the airport, we went and visited my cousin Cory's grave. Cory passed away about 7 months ago. We miss him and feel so blessed to know about the plan of happiness and about life after mortal death. We love you Cory and your family! Cant wait to see you again!The Cemetary was incredible. So many flowers. I was touched by all of the support that was shown to those people who have died by their friends and families and even some strangers...

I have recently been doing my best to recognize all of the things that the Lord has blessed me with. My greatest joys come from being with those i love. Little Christian is so sweet and i cant help but feel of his strong and special spirit when i hold him. Im so thankful for him.
My little nieces are so wonderful. So loving and so entertaining! Another Joy! I love my mom so much and hope that I can be half the mother that she has been! She truly has a heart of gold and i am blessed to be at home and have the chance to learn from her daily.

I love that she is such a hard worker, but loves to play hard too! :) Cant wait for POWELL! I am so grateful for the happiness that she has brought into Barrett's life and our whole family!

I went up to the Peerless Hairshow today! It was great! Madi and I drove up together to the expo center. There were a bunch of classes going on... I learned some awesome new cutting tecniques! And of course I had to stock up on some of my favorite products! They had some awesome deals! My favorite deal was 2 cans of Alfaparf bleach for twenty dollars!!! It is awesome bleach! Love it. And I just love Sexy Hair Products...I also picked up an up-do book for some more fun ideas :)
There were some pretty crazy styles...Lots of really girls with gorgeous hair...and lots of extreme girls with not so pretty hair! haha But it was great to expand my vision of all the possibilities!
This is one up-do that I would love to try! Isn't cool lookin!? Goodness, I love the hair industry and cant wait to finish school and get started!

The last time we did Katie's hair, we did a low side curly do...this time I wanted to try something a little different. I learned this twist-braid like thing...haha! What Do ya think??

My favorite thing to do is still styling and fancy or funky hair...I love being able to take what i know about the person while taking in account, their personality, their dress or outfit for the evening, their face shape, and what they are hoping for...and putting my own creativity into it.

What a fun time celebrating Heidi's 27th birthday! It seems this lucky girl has a week long birthday every year! :) She is so easy to love and deserves a special special birthday-week!

Make A Wish!

I had the neatest experience today! My good friend Bradley and I were asked to dress up like Beauty and the Beast to help a little girl's wish come true! If you haven't heard about the Make A Wish Foundation, it is so neat. They allow children who are suffering from various diseases to make a special, personal wish. The foundation then does everything that they can to make the childs wish come true, hoping this will encourage the children to fight through their health issues. Bradley and I had the opportunity to be a part of a young girl named Amelia, and her wish. We were able to spend some time with her and her family. We also sang her a song! It was so great to be able to have this opportunity. I was so glad that I got to share it with Bradley. What a special day it was! Bradley's mom was able to video record the whole thing. I can't wait to get the video! We didnt get to take our own pictures with Amelia, but her family is going to email us some of theirs!

Besides making Amelia's wish come true, this was a dream come true for me too! I have always wanted to play this role. I didnt get it my Sr, year in high school. But being able to do this was an incredible experience. I think the two things that stand out most to me about this opportunity was how grateful her family was, how much Amelia loved the songs from Beauty and the Beast. She was able to sing along with us for bits and pieces...it was cute!

Today I got to watch the girls! It is the most beautiful day! We packed a lunch and hoped in the Wagon and went to the park to play. Days like to day, I remember what is most important. :) The girls were so fun today!!!! Sweetest things ever!

On Sunday I decided that I wanted to audition for Young Ambassadors at BYU. The auditions were on Tuesday...so I was totally rushed!! I was overwhelmed with the love and support of my family and friends! The Lord has blessed me with an incredible family and "wonderful friends in my youth" Thanks to everyone! I love you all!

Siri helped my cut my music!...Diana auditioned as well and was so encouraging. She listened to me sing my songs again and again and brought me crackers and a water bottle while I waited for my audition! Thanks Girlies!

I recieved encouraging words and Good Luck texts from both Barrett and Jeanine! Jeanine recently had her own audtion and was chosen for some promotion work in her modeling! CONGRATS sis! Thanks to you both!

My neices kisses and loves keep me going!

Bradley was there for me every step of the way! He helped me call and get an audition, and get my music. He was there to hug me when i got there, and when i came out after. He audtioned as well! He is amazing! ... He made me dinner after and we cuddled and relaxed together, both so glad that it was all over! Thanks for everything babe! OH AND I wasnt feelin well today and He brought me soup, crystal light, and a baggie of my favorite jelly bellys! :) Couldn't ask for more!

MY GOODNESS! I am so blessed! I will know who made call backs on friday night! I will be suprised if I get a call back! But it was a much needed experience!

Taylor has worked so so so hard this whole past week getting ready for elections. He ran for Student Body Vice President at Mountain View! All of those running for office have had to be to school at 6 am everyday this week. They ere also required to be a part of a skit, put together a video, put up posters, put together a portfolio, and are expected to stay caught up on all of their homework!!! Oh, ANd if they have outside jobs. My goodness, it has been crazy. Anyways so, lots of work....that all paid off today!!! Taylor Won!! And he is so excited for all of the other people who made it! I had another fun few hours with my beautiful nieces! I knew they were coming...so I dropped by the dollar store and got some play dough! We had lots of fun! I was so suprised oh well Savvy did with it! I thought for sure she would try to eat it or something...but i think she had fun! They both know their colors and Hallie and I learned how to mix primary colors to get secondary colors! She is soo smart, and Sooo full of personality! Love you babies! :) Hallie made a swimming pool with a snake and Helped me make a flower!

The Civil War

Last night we were able to attend the show running at the Hale Center Theatre in Salt Lake. It was Mom and Dad, Taylor and I. I have this special friend named Bradley who pulled some strings and was able to get all of us tickets! (Thanks Bradley!!) HOW NICE! It was awesome. Besides the astounding talent of the cast, the spirit of the show is amazing. It was a truly moving production. There are 7 more shows it the run, I highly recommend seeing it! It was a great evening! Im so grateful for all the people who have died for my freedom. I feel so grateful to live in such a special country!

Oh my goodness gracious...today was so busy!!

Okay so I went to bed pretty late last night...but definately for a good cause :) ....My morning started bright and early! I go out of bed and made some muffins for Stephanies shower and started more laundry! I checked my email and then started getting ready. I put on a dress that I picked up at target for $20.00 dollars after reading Heidi's blog about the fun dresses at Target! Thanks HEID!Anyways...so at the shower we made scrapbook pages at to go into Stephanie and Anika's baby books and had some yummy muffins and fruit.
They both opened so many fun things! I'm so so so excited to have a nephew! Steph you are amazing and the cutest little pregnant wife ever! Love yoU!

SWeet Hallie Belle!After we were all cleaned up, I headed home to do a Katie's hair for the prom. I think it turned Out pretty dang cute. Katie is gorgeous! We love her TAY! :)
After that, I headed to the stake center to sing at my home wards spaghetti dinner! LOL, it was pretty interesting. But always so fun to see the fun people in my ward. After i ate some food I headed straight home...to say goodbye to Steven. His farewell is tomorrow morning...and he reports to the MTC on Wednesday. Im so excited for him. I stayed composed. I was shocked. A blessing. I gave him a handsome tie and a journal and wrote him a card. It was quick. I dont do very good with goodbye's....I struggle. ha, anyways...

Now here it is Saturday night and all I want to do is blog, read, and relax. Im so excited for Easter tomorrow!

Last night Craig and I went on a double date with Jeff and Aubrey! I went to high school with Craig and Jeff! Jeff and Aubrey got married just 6 weeks ago! CONGRATS YOU TWO! It was so fun to hang out and watch the blaze! Even though we lost...Boo. I had tons of fun getting to know Aubrie too! I hope we can get together more ofteN!

These were where our tickets were originally but there were a lot of empty seats so we moved 3 different times. We ended up on the 13th row, just in time to watch them loose in the last few seconds!!!

For my adorable mothers birthday celebration we went to the Dr. Suess movie and went to Stephanie and Jake's home for dinner and dessert. It was so fun to watch mom open her gifts and cards. We got her some spring skirts and shirts and daddy got her a vacuum! She is so excited. Our central vacuum has been giving her trouble and so this was very exciting!! :) I missed Taylor, he has been in California on choir tour for school! So fun, but I need him there with me! Come home soon TAY!!

I grew up with the girls on either side of me! Erica and Jackie Crays! We were best friends in California. It is pretty amazing that we have been able to keep in touch. They came down to check out colleges and we got to go to dinner and go shopping for a while! It was so fun to catch up! Love you girls!

On Friday night I was able to get together with a few of my guy friends that have recently returned from their missions! With all of our busy-ness...we havent really gotten together! So this time with them was so great! We got together at Abbey's house and I brought some brownies and we all just hung out. People played the Wii, pool and just enjoyed catchin up! :)

He leaves for the Czek, Prauge Mission on March 26th...He is so excited to go and serve. I am grateful for the time we have alread shared together and plan on dating him if I am still around when he returns! :) I keep telling him to hurry up! lol

10 years ago I was: Playing the lead role in Annie Jr. at the Scera Theatre and playing the role of Mary in the secret garden at the Hale Center Theatre. I enjoyed every second of these productions and wish I had time to be in another show!

One of my goals this year is to learn some cooking and baking skills...Today I learned how to work with fondant! Okay okay so it's not a fun new recipe...but I have to start somewhere right? So why not start at dessert!! It was so fun to learn a few new tips! IF anyone is into cake decorating, I learned some fun things and have a couple tips!!

It's a dang good thing that fondant doesn't taste good or my cake would have been half eaten before I took a picture of it!!! haha

Hair With The Beehives!

I was asked to teach a hair and make up class to the beehive class this

for their mutual activity.

So I was all worried about what I was going to talk for over an hour!! It tuned out to be alot easier than I thought it would be. (As usual)...I tend to freak out over little things sometimes. I talked to them about hygiene, washing and taking care of their hair. And answered all of their questions. Here are a few pictures....

These girls say the funniest things...I remember being a beehive, it's so funny to think back! They were so sweet and think everything you say is so cool. It was great! :)

I was showing them how to create different kinds of curls. In the back ground you can see the little favors I made them. They each got to take a bright pink comb with them and a little baggy of bobby pins !

A FUN DATE!

I went on a really fun date with a boy names Jon from my singles ward.

We went to the BYU boys volleyball game. They are ranked first in the nation! It was pretty incredible watching them. Of course they won! :)

After the game, we went to a place called COLOR ME MINE...I dont know who has heard about it but you go and pick out something to paint, such as a mug or plate or figurine. Then you paint it and they fire it for you. I had a hard time picking out what to do. I ended up picking out a heart and did a zebra print on it. This is how it turned out!

Jon returned it to me with a rose it in and with this note...It was such a great time. If you enjoy crafts, I would suggest visiting Color Me Mine...and get more creative than me!! haha
...I said yes!

A Night With The GIRLS!

Stephanie and Jake needed a night out. I was so excited when they asked me to watch the girls!!! It was so stinkin fun! Savvy has a hard time when mommy leaves...but it only takes a few minutes for her to warm up to Aunt Haley :) Yay!

I wanted to do something fun with the girls,

something a little creative so I jumped on-line and looked

up some fun childrens activites! (Isn't it so nice to have the internet!!)

We ended up Breaking Crayons...which Savvy enjoyed!! :)

Next we pealed the wrappers off the crayons and shaved

them with a pencil sharpener into seperate piles according to colors.

Then we took wax paper and Hallie wrote her name on the wax paper with

a marker and spinkled the crayon shavings all around her name.

We put the paper on a cookie sheet and popped them into the oven on 300.

With the light on we were able to watch the crayons melt

and spread, making a pretty design!

Hallie loved it and couldn't wait to show her mommy and daddy! :)

Sometimes I feel like I dont have very many exciting things to share...

Hair School all day and work most nights...

SO I decided I would start taking pictures of some of my clients!

One of the nicest girls at my school asked me if I would give her extensions. I really enjoy doing them and they turned out pretty fun! :) Genna likes to be crazy. She seriously changes her hair from one extreme to the next monthly. She is so funny. Im grateful to have her there!

This Christmas season was special for me. I was blessed to feel of its true meaning, and enjoyed getting involved and carried away by the spirit of the Christmas!

I went to Roberts one day and saw these really cool magnetic boards and i thought it would be fun to personalize one for her. So after searching all over the store for just the right paper, I went home to get started...

With Steven's help, we Mod Podged the paper onto the wooden boarder and added paper to the magnets to match. I threw a few pictures of us on there, and I think it turned out pretty cute. She was pleased :) It was really exciting to try something new. A little frustrating, but it always feels better when you are all done and can see the fruits of your labors! :)

I'm so grateful for Abbey's friendship. I don't know what I would do without her. The Lord told me that he has "blessed me with wonderful friends in my youth." I believe Abbey is the most wonderfullest friend of them all!!! :) Happy Birthday friend, I love you!

Hair School Update

Well everyone, I am 5 months through my journey in hair school! It has flown and I hope it continues too! :) I have learned some way fun things!!
Recently i did full set of nails on myself. I have done this a few times but I am so excited...we are on day 4 and they haven't lifted yet!!! YAY, I'm getting better!
This last week I did a way fun A-line cut on one of the girls in school. I surprised myself, it looked great...i was very excited! I am always getting great practice cutting hair at school...but it is my favorite doing friends and family! Over thanksgiving I cut Michaels hair (cousin), my mom's (right before the wedding), last week i did Steven's, and yesterday i cut Natalie Utrera's hair. ( A little girl from my home ward)! And I am hoping to do something to Jade's hair sometime this week! Thanks for everyone's support... and bravery! :)

Gratitude

I am so grateful for a Savior who knows me personally. I am so glad to know that He loves me and wants me to be happy. I am so thankful for his atonement for us all. I know that he is aware of all of us daily. Of our struggles and our joys. I know that he hears and answers our prayers, if we live worthy of his blessings. I am so grateful to have this knowledge. I know it is true with all of my heart.

The Wedding!!

Barrett and Jeanine are finally married! This weekend was insane; the majority of it being good times...but everyone knows how nice it feels after the stressful yet exciting occasion is over.

Friday night was the wedding dinner held at one of Barrett's favorite little Mexican joints (voted best Mexican food in Utah for two years in a row). The food was fabulous. As well as great food, the program went well. In our family we have a fun tradition of presenting the family member being married with a gift. I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed as we all shared our memories and thoughts about Barrett and the amazing bother he is.

Saturday morning we started setting up for the reception. With everyone's help, things went pretty quick. We rushed home to do all the last minute things, and get ourselves ready. I got to do Jeanine's hair and sit with her and get excited. She is so wonderful.

Bishop Seastrand preformed the wedding and gave them some great council. I bawled through the whole thing. After our congratulations, the reception proceeded. Anyone who attended the reception will tell you how beautiful it all turned out!! I was able to sing a song called Lost in Your Eyes, as they danced for the first time as husband and wife. :)

We are so excited for Barrett and Jeanine and wish them the best in their life together. I look forward to future times to share with them both! LOVE YOU TWO!

Thanksgiving

Thinking about these past couple weeks, brings a smile to my face. Great things have happened for me and my family!

Thanksgiving was so fun. Time spent together with family, brings me the greatest joy. Time was spent relaxing, catching up with family from out of town, eating delicious food, and enjoying expressing heart felt gratitude as our hearts reflect on all of the marvelous things the Lord has blessed us with.

Bittersweet Week

This week was a good reminder for me to see all of the Lord's tender mercies...even through life's daily annoying trials!

Hair School...
Had to stay late a few days this week...But received my biggest tip yet, $20.00!

Transportation...
My heater stopped working in my little Saturn...But my car still starts everyday!

Church Calling...
The person that was scheduled to do the musical number this week flaked out on me...But the music is better than ever in our singles ward!

Weather...
It is so cold i have to start scraping my windows!!! (The WORST)...But we have had a very long fall season which is my favorite!!

Appearance...
My face has been so broken out and my face wash cost me $75.00 dollars!...But, i think it is working!

Interests...
I have been sad about not singing often...But dad told me today that he would pay for me to take voice lessons!

Relationship...
One of my best friends is leaving for two years...But will be serving the Lord and helping grow the kingdom on earth!

This is my friend Charrisse Williams and I. Our families are long-time friends. Her brother Cam was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. We decided to throw a multi-high school halloween dance to help raise money for Cam's treatments. We organized, advertised, decorated and cleaned up.... There were many people there helping...It was great.
Together we raised about 6 thousand dollars!
It was a great success!

There is always something that we can do...
